Details
Spec-Seal WB is formulated from state of the art water base UV resistant acrylic coatings technology. Spec-Seal WB is a film forming sealer that creates a non-yellowing barrier that protects and seals decorative concrete against food stains, grease, oils, and water with out significant color change to the surface. When used on porous substrates Spec-Seal WB penetrates deeply, providing years of protective service. On interior decorative concrete Spec-Seal WB is the perfect base coat prior to the application of Spec-Coat floor polish. Spec-Seal WB will resist most stains for two or three days however, oils should be wiped up as soon as possible. Spec-Seal WB retards but will not totally eliminate efflorescence.
COVERAGE
Porous Surface : 100-300 sq.ft./gal. Dense Concrete : 400-600 sq.ft./gal.
APPLICATION
On cured concrete apply Spec-Seal WB only when the air and surface temperatures are between 50° and 90°F. On hot dry days, apply during the cooler part of the day when the concrete is shaded; in some cases overnight surface cooling is necessary. Do not apply during inclement weather, when rain is expected or in direct sunlight when temperatures exceed 80°F. Spec-Seal WB can be applied with most types of pump-up spray equipment, synthetic bristle brush, 3/8" or 1/2" nap roller, microfiber mop, or airless sprayer with a 0.013"-0.015" tip size. Application to a damp surface or non-completely cured concrete may cause a hazy appearance or loss of adhesion. Apply Spec-Seal WB uniformly and thinly at the recommended rate under Coverage. The sealer will appear milky when wet, but will dry clear. On porous concrete (broom finish, most imprinted surfaces), paver brick, flagstone, etc. generally one coat will provide complete protection. A second coat will provide added protection and a higher sheen. If a second coat is desired, apply as soon as the first coat is dry to the touch. On dense concrete (hard troweled), slate, stone, etc. one light coat provides complete protection. It is not recommended to apply more than one coat on a dense surface.
